I'm really starting to get ready to go now....only a week left before I leave! I'm setting up this blog to keep interested friends and family updated on my adventures. I'm hoping to update it frequently and add pictures as I go.
I really want to thank all of you that help make this trip possible: the great Quarknet people, the University of Michigan, and National Science Foundation for selecting and funding me; family and friends that help with things at home while I'm gone like babysitting and keeping Joe and the kids occupied; and my wonderful family that encourages me to do things like this and don't complain about me being gone.
Now off to pack.
